San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson, a New Hampshire native, has been added to the National League All-Star roster as an entrant from the NL’s player ballot, a vote of the players, managers and coaches.

Wilson, from Londonderry, N.H., helped the Giants win the 2010 World Series.

In 2011, Wilson is 6-1 with a 3.03 ERA and 24 saves in 28 save opportunities for the Giants.

Another New Englander, Paul Konerko of the Chicago White Sox, is one of five nominees for the final roster spot for the American League team.

Konerko (Providence, R.I.), a first baseman, is a Triple Crown candidate, ranking fourth in the AL in homers (21), third in RBI (62) and fifth in batting average (.317).

The final spot for the AL and NL rosters will be decided by fan balloting.

The other AL nominees are Royals left fielder Alex Gordon, Orioles center fielder Adam Jones, Tigers catcher Victor Martinez and Rays second baseman Ben Zobrist.

NL nominees are right fielder Andre Ethier of the Dodgers, first baseman Todd Helton of the Rockies, pitcher Ian Kennedy of the D-backs, left fielder Michael Morse of the Nationals and center fielder Shane Victorino of the Phillies.

Balloting lasts until 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, and the winners will be announced shortly thereafter on MLB.com.

Mobile voting for U.S. residents is available by sending "VOTE" to 89269 to receive the 2011 All-Star Game Sprint Final Vote ballot. In Canada, fans should text "VOTE" to 65246.
