NECBL players honored

Trey Mancini of the Holyoke Blue Sox has been named New England Collegiate Baseball League Player of the Week, while Cameron Copping of the North Adams SteepleCats is the Pitcher of the Week.
Mancini (Notre Dame) had two home runs, a double and six RBI in a July 4 win over Old Orchard Beach and had an extra-base hit in five other games last week. He finished the week with three home runs, 13 RBI and a .931 slugging percentage.
Copping (Buffalo) also had a big Independence Day outing has he earned the win in a 3-0 shutout of Mystic. The right-hander struck out eight and allowed just one walk and two singles in seven innings.
