East wins NECBL All-Star Game, 3-1

The East defeated the West in Wednesday night’s New England Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game at Fraser Field in Lynn, Mass.
Pitching was the story of the night for both teams, as the two All-Star teams were limited to a combined 12 hits.
For the winning East All-Stars, nine different pitchers went one inning apiece, with five of them not giving up a hit or allowing a walk.
A.J. Bazdanes (Maine/Sanford) earned the win, while Sam Dodge (Harvard/New Bedford) picked up the save.
Justin Wiley (Iona University/Laconia) got the start for the East.
For the West, Jeff Thompson (Louisville/Keene) started on the mound.
Jack Reinheimer (East Carolina/Newport) was named All-Star Game MVP. Reinheimer was 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored while also turning in a solid effort at shortstop.
