Connecticut's Palacios earns NY-Penn League honor

Connecticut Tigers pitcher Wilsen Palacios has been named New York-Penn League Pitcher of the Week after tossing a complete-game shutout against Staten Island on Aug. 18.
Palacios went nine innings, giving up just three hits while hitting a batter.
He struck out nine in the victory.
The win was Palacios’ second straight complete game shutout after he threw seven innings in a win over Jamestown on Aug. 9. In that game Palacios gave up just two hits.
