Recent changes to NCAA recruiting rules will make the 2024 spring and summer seasons of the utmost importance for D1 prospects in the Class of 2026.
Last April, the NCAA implemented new recruiting rules that prohibit any communication between Division 1 coaches and potential recruits before August 1 of their junior year in an effort to slow down the college baseball recruiting process.
Only eight New England prospects in the Class of 2026 prospects committed before the new rule went into effect, leaving dozens of D1 prospects that might have previously committed by now still on the open market until Aug. 1, 2024.
As we take stock of the Class of 2026, we look at the eight committed prospects and 20 more players who could earn D1 offers after Aug. 1 with strong spring and summer seasons.
