The final day of the 2023 MLB Draft will kick off on Tuesday, July 11, at 2 p.m., when rounds 11 to 20 are selected by front-office personnel.
Day 1 of the draft had a New England flavor, as four New England prospects earned selections in rounds 1 and 2. Day 2 also had its share of New England representation with 13 players selected in rounds 3 through 10, including six more before the end of the fifth round.
The breakdown of New England prospects who earned Day 2 selections includes just one high school player in the third round, and 12 college prospects after that. As a result, it seems likely that all 13 New England prospects will choose to sign professional contracts.
