As the month of April winds down, it’s crunch time on the Division 3 baseball schedule around New England.
The latest installment of New England Baseball Journal’s Coaches Poll proves that the top teams are beginning to separate, as all 10 ranked teams remain the same as compared to a week ago. Additionally, only two teams outside of the top 10 received double-digit rankings points.
All but one top-10 club has reached the 20-win mark with games still to play before conference tournaments commence over the next couple of weeks. But, the postseason is looming as the first set of NCAA Regional Rankings -- Region I and II for New England’s sake -- are set to be released on Wednesday as well.
NEBJ’s Division 3 Coaches Poll is voted upon by coaches and sports information directors throughout New England and will be released weekly on Wednesdays during the season. Coaches and SIDs interested in participating in the voting should email jkummins@baseballjournal.com for more information.
