Plenty of this past weekend’s Division 1 action featured New England clubs going head-to-head, with the top clubs largely maintaining their dominance.
UConn and Bryant continued their winning ways, with the latter sweeping three games from reigning America East champion Hartford during a Northeast Conference bye week. While Hartford was away from league action, Maine enjoyed its best weekend of the season against UMass Lowell and moved its winning streak to four games.
UMass and Harvard won series again entering Wednesday night’s Baseball Beanpot title game at Fenway Park. The Crimson are one game behind Ivy League-leading Columbia, but the Lions pay a visit to Cambridge for three contests April 27-28. Dartmouth returned to the winner’s circle as well, as did Fairfield in the MAAC.
New England Baseball Journal’s Division 1 Weekend Roundup lies ahead, covering all of the above and much more.
