Like we did a month into the Division 1 baseball season, we’ll begin May by leaving the borders of New England for a look at some of the region’s players spending their collegiate careers playing farther from home.
While half of the players in this installment hail from Connecticut, there are representatives from four of the other five New England states. Among them are seniors pitching in New York, a New Hampshire native slugging in Florida, and a catcher returning to pre-injury form in Virginia.
Wake Forest sophomore Chris Lanzilli (Stoneham, Mass.) continues to pace a talented group of New Englanders playing outside the region with his 15 home runs, 60 RBI, and .347 average in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
