
Nearly three weeks into its shortened 2020 season, the Futures Collegiate Baseball League has enjoyed the benefits of being the lone regular New England league in action.
The six teams have all played between 12 and 15 games of the 39-game schedule, and the standings have been quite tight. The first-place Worcester Bravehearts and fifth-place Westfield Starfires enter the new week separated by just three games. A league featuring some of the top talent in New England has made for a competitive season.
During this unique summer, the standouts have ranged from expected stars to some emerging names making the most of an opportunity that has drawn the attention of eyes from throughout New England.
