Gallery: MIAA D1 championship game — Taunton 2, Franklin 1

No. 2 Taunton clinched a MIAA D1 state championship on June 18 with a 2-1 victory over No. 1 Franklin at LeLacheur Park in Lowell. Taunton took the rubber match of the Hockomock League rivals, as each team won on its own turf in the regular season. It’s a fitting end to a state tournament in which the Hockomock League was clearly the state’s power conference with two D1 finalists and one D2 finalist.
