Hangin’ out with … Joe Caico

By Joshua KumminsAugust 1, 2017

How would you describe yourself as a player? Are there any guys in Major League Baseball you try to emulate?

"I try to learn stuff from every player, just the smallest things. I try to emulate anything I see together. When you piece everything together, good things start to happen when you’re working hard. I’d say I work really hard on my game. I’ve been getting better every year and I feel like I can keep seeing progress as long as I’m working hard and keep playing."

What are the biggest areas you’ve seen progress in over the last year?

"My approach has definitely changed. When you’re playing baseball so much, you learn something new through every game and every at-bat. Approach is important, and you have to lock in in every at-bat and you have to know the situation; there are a bunch of things you have to keep in the back of your mind."
