What's not to like about Jackson Emus? He is well-spoken, eminently educated and, oh by the way, he excels on the baseball diamond too.
The Phillips Academy-Andover product has already carved his niche within the well-documented history of Big Blue baseball, with still more to come. Standing 6 foot 6 inches, 230 pounds, the Hopedale, Mass., native is widely perceived as an intimidating force on the mound, playing first base, or inside the batter's box.
Now a senior, Emus has been a member of the PA varsity the past three seasons. He has blossomed immensely in that span, and his value to the Big Blue program goes unprecedented. Emus served a major role in Andover's 11th Central New England Prep School Baseball League championship a year ago.
After spending two years at St. John's High School (Shrewsbury, Mass.), Emus, along with his parents Scott and June and sister Jocelin, all agreed that a change of scenery was in order.
