Justin Blood is back at home in Keene, N.H.
After a transformative decade as the all-time winningest head coach at the University of Hartford, Blood has hit the ground running since returning to his hometown as Keene State College’s new boss in July.
It is a new opportunity, a new challenge for one of the region’s most respected and successful coaches who inherited the program from the retired Ken Howe, a 35-year veteran with 584 collegiate victories to his name.
“I think the biggest adjustment has been just working under the Division 3 rules in terms of how much you can be around the student-athletes during this fall period, so we’ve tried to be more concise in some of the drills we do,” Blood said. “But, it’s been great. The players have been very receptive and they’re working hard.”
