As I write this column, I just watched a video where parents at a 7-year-old Little League game in Colorado brawled on the field over a disputed call.
This is just a small showing of the tension that exists at all levels of youth baseball.
The reason things have gotten out of control in the baseball world can all be traced to the same thing that causes most problems in the world: money.
It used to be kids played Little League, then those that still loved it played in high school and a small group of those kids played on summer travel teams. The rest switched to another sport or got back to being a kid and playing pickup sports or spent time outdoors, fishing, camping, riding bikes.
