On family visits, rough outings and the Warriors

Auburn, Mass., native Tyler Beede has spent the first half of the season with the San Francisco Giants’ Triple-A affiliate — the Sacramento River Cats. The 24-year-old right-handed pitcher is 3-4 on the season with a 4.68 ERA.

The Lawrence Academy (Mass.) alumnus and former Vanderbilt University right-hander is one of the top prospects in the Giants’ farm system.

How’s everything going with you?

"I’m sitting by a pool in Las Vegas, so I can’t complain. We got here two days ago, and now we have an off-day and two more games."
