Sachin Gopal's decision to leave a well-established academic and baseball school like Wellesley High was difficult.
However, he's reaped the rewards of reclassifying and repeating his junior year at Dexter Southfield.
First and foremost, the right-handed pitcher chose the Brookline (Mass.) institution due to its extensive winning baseball tradition, built over the years under the direction of longtime head coach Dan Donato.
Donato is certainly no stranger to success. From 2002 to 2007, serving as head baseball and hockey coach at Salisbury School, he assembled both programs into top-notch powers. In 2008, Donato came to Dexter, and his track record remains intact, having brought the baseball and hockey programs to an unprecedented level.
