Throughout Michael Yeager's time at Brunswick School, which began when he was a pre-schooler, the now junior has flourished as a student-athlete.
A right-handed pitcher/third baseman, the Greenwich, Conn., native is committed to the University of Virginia. Those future plans started to come together for Yeager as an eighth-grader.
During the winter of that year, Yeager attended a baseball camp on the UVA campus. Cavaliers head coach Brian O'Connor and pitching coach Drew Dickinson both showed considerable interest in Yeager's work off the mound during his camp session.
They continued to keep close tabs on him afterward. After viewing a pitching session in Florida the following summer, the UVA staff extended an offer.
