Sal Frelick has been a busy man throughout his four-year athletic career at Lexington (Mass.) High School.
Like many New England kids, his favorite sport is whatever he’s playing at that given time. You could find him diving for the end zone while quarterbacking the Minutemen football team or rushing down the ice as a captain of the hockey team or manning shortstop on the baseball diamond.
"Since I was little, I was always playing multiple sports," Frelick said. "I think if I’d focused on just one sport from an early age, I would have gotten bored with myself. I always liked the idea of getting to play against guys going just as hard as me during all three seasons."
Really, though, Frelick doesn’t just play all three. He stands out.
