The Division 3 baseball postseason is just a week away in most conferences. Wednesday’s release of the first official NCAA Regional Rankings is the greatest sign of that, but there is plenty to be decided throughout the New England ranks before the NCAA tournament begins in mid-May.
The region’s top teams have remained steady in recent weeks, with Southern Maine, Babson, and Wheaton holding down places in the national rankings as well as the lead spots in this Top 10. In fact, all three of those teams sit in the top half of Monday’s D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25, with the Beavers reaching their highest-ever place in both national polls.
As far as the NEBJ ranks, there is just one change to the teams in line this week.
