New England Baseball Journal continues its series of end-of-summer content with a look back at the top players who showed out within our region’s three circuits in 2021.
The spotlight shines on the NECBL in this post as we take a trip around the diamond for some All-NEBJ selections. After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the New England League returned to the field this summer with 14 teams and featured a first-time champion.
Seven different teams and seven Division 1 conferences are represented on the NECBL’s All-NEBJ squad, which includes seven Massachusetts natives and others from Connecticut and Rhode Island. Four players from four Ivy League schools lead the way, while regional staples Boston College, Northeastern and Rhode Island all had multiple players.
As usual, All-NEBJ players must hail from New England and/or play their college baseball in the region.
