Seven of New England's top high school and prep prospects in the Class of 2022 competed in the 2021 Area Code Games last week at the University of San Diego (Calif.).

The top 220 high school baseball players from across the country in the Class of 2022 represented their respective regions at the heavily scouted event. Eight regional teams played in a five-day showcase. The rosters featured the best baseball players from around the nation competing at the highest level, while being evaluated by more than 100 scouts.

Scouts from all 30 Major League teams as well as top NCAA coaches were in attendance. The Area Code Games tournament serves as the beginning of a year-long interview process culminating with the 2022 MLB Draft.

Players from New England represented the Northeast region. The Northeast squad (New York Yankees) went 1-4 over the five-day event. Here's a look at how each of the seven New England players performed.
