With the month of September approaching, it’s time for New England Baseball Journal to take a look at the best of the best from another busy summer in the region.
The first in the annual series of All-NEBJ teams focuses on the NECBL, which capped its season earlier in August with the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks sweeping the league-leading Vermont Mountaineers to become the second first-time champion in as many years.
Nine of the New England League’s 14 total teams are represented on the All-NEBJ roster, as are nine Division 1 conferences and three of the region’s top Division 3 programs. As far as hometowns, four players hail from Massachusetts, three are natives of both Rhode Island and Maine, and two come from Connecticut.
As usual, players listed on our All-NEBJ rosters must hail from New England and/or play their college baseball in the region.
