The 2023 MLB Draft concluded on Tuesday with nine more New England prospects earning selections. That brings the three-day total to 26 New England prospects achieving their dreams of playing professional baseball.
Of the 26 New England prospects, four earned Day 1 selections in rounds 1 and 2. Another 13 earned Day 2 selections between rounds 3 and 10. Finally, nine heard their respective names called on Day 3 during rounds 11 through 20.
Both Massachusetts and Connecticut saw six players earn selections in this year's draft. Rhode Island had four draft selections. Maine had one. The other nine draft selections were New England natives who played college ball outside the region.
