
Three New England natives earned selections to one of the top national showcase events for high school underclassmen -- the Area Code Underclass Games.
MLB scouts have selected 200 of the top high school prospects in the nation to compete for eight regional teams in the four-day tournament in Long Beach, Calif., from Aug. 5 to 8. Scouts from all 30 Major League teams as well as top NCAA coaches will be in attendance.
This year's tournament figures to be of particular interest for NCAA D1 coaches, as the official Signing Period for players in the Class of 2026 begins on Aug. 1 -- just four days before the start of the tourney.
