Despite the heavy rain around Massachusetts, preliminary round action kicked off on Thursday. The weekend will bring more preliminary matchups along with the Round of 32.
With the playoffs upon us, it's a perfect time to look at who could take home our end-of-season hardware as MIAA Player of the Year. The winner will be announced following the conclusion of the state tournaments, which will be held Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15, at Polar Park in Worcester.
Below is a smattering of players, be they two-way stars, offensive forces, or pitching dynamos, from 10 different schools all under consideration. Whether they competed in Division 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 did not matter, either.
