Recruiting for prospects in the Class of 2025 has slowed during the holiday season, as college coaches take some downtime before the craziness of the spring semester.
A total of 63 New England prospects in the Class of 2025 have committed to D1 programs since the NCAA permitted offers to be extended on Aug. 1.
We shouldn’t expect to see that number jump significantly over the next two months due to NCAA recruiting rules and the fact that it’s the baseball offseason.
The current list of 2025 commitments has a distinct New England flare with eight New England natives headed to Northeastern and five each at UConn and Boston College. Vanderbilt leads all schools in New England commits for schools outside New England, as four regional prospects expect to play at Vandy. A bit of a surprise: Maine already has four New England commits in the Class of 2025.
