The final college commitments are trickling in before the start of the new year, when players in the Class of 2025 will play their all-important junior seasons of high school baseball.
A total of 65 New England prospects in the Class of 2025 have committed to D1 programs since the NCAA permitted offers to be extended on Aug. 1.
That number figures to jump significantly in the spring and summer months when it's officially baseball season.
The current list of 2025 commitments has a distinct New England flare with eight New England natives headed to Northeastern and five each at UConn and Boston College. Vanderbilt leads all schools in New England commits for schools outside New England, as four regional prospects expect to play at Vandy. A bit of a surprise: Maine already has four New England commits in the Class of 2025.
