WELLESLEY, Mass. – All Wellesley needed was a little bit of luck.
Tied 3-3 with Braintree in the bottom of the seventh with Henry Redgate on second, Luke Miele had a chance to be the hero for the Raiders. In a 1-1 count, Miele cracked a hard grounder down the third-base line. It took a big hop and ricocheted off Braintree third baseman Sean O'Rourke's knee before shooting into left field, lifting Wellesley to a 4-3 walk-off win as Redgate scored from second.
It was Miele's second hit and second RBI of the game as the Raiders improved to 9-4 with wins in five of their last seven. Freshman right-hander Max Boehm threw a complete game. The Wamps fell to 12-3, dropping their second in a row after a 12-game win streak.
Here is a look at other key moments from the game as well as five standouts.
