Prep schools in the Northeast have started a new school year, and many freshmen and transfers are meeting new coaches and teammates.
With college coaches doing more of their recruiting through the transfer portal, high school prospects are trying to maximize their exposure at prep schools. In recent seasons, prep coaches have found that a key to their success in the spring is the enrollment of quality prospects over the summer.
Thanks to participating coaches, New England Baseball Journal has once again compiled a list of incoming first-year players who have found new homes for the 2026-27 year.
Here’s a list of 20 Central New England Prep School League (CNEPSBL) newcomers who could make an impact on the 2027 season.
