New England had a slightly down year in 2017 in terms of top-of-the-draft talent, with no New England player earning a selection in the top two rounds — and only two players getting picked in the first five rounds. However, the 2018 New England draft class looks to have the potential for higher draft selections and more lucrative signing bonuses.
