With a new academic year underway, it’s time for New England Baseball Journal to take a look at the best of the best from another busy summer in the region.
The first of our annual summer All-NEBJ teams for 2023 focuses on the Cape Cod League, where the Bourne Braves won twice on the road in a three-game series to edge past the Orleans Firebirds for their second consecutive championship. Bourne is the first repeat Cape champ since the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox pulled off a run of three straight from 2014-16.
As usual, players listed on our All-NEBJ rosters must hail from New England and/or play their college baseball in the region.
This roster includes players from seven of the Cape League’s 10 franchises and four of the six New England states.
