Boston College pitcher Evan Moore made his season debut on March 6, pitching a scoreless inning with two strikeouts in the Eagles’ 17-10 loss at North Florida.
It may read like any other line on the box score, but that inning meant so much more.
Less than two years ago, the Rocky Hill, Conn., native right-hander didn’t know whether or not taking the mound would ever be possible again.
“In September or October of my sophomore year (2020), I started to have this intense fatigue, I was constantly tired and would sleep for 16 hours a day sometimes,” Moore said. “I remember going home that Thanksgiving and having a really bad stomach pain. I felt a lump soon after that.”
