Opening Day for the Cape Cod Baseball League is 40 days away, and rosters are starting to come into clearer focus as college players prepare for the homestretch of their respective seasons.
Historically, the Cape League offers the most competitive summer collegiate league in the country. Players from all over the United States are recruited to play in the 10-team league. The 40-game regular-season schedule will overlap with the 2022 MLB Draft, so there will be some roster transition throughout the season.
One in every six Major League Baseball players has played in the Cape Cod League. CCBL Commissioner Eric Zmuda shared with NEBJ the list of committed players from New England collegiate programs.
