As the calendar shifted to May for series-ending Sunday action around New England, it proved to be a winning weekend for many of the region’s Division 1 clubs.
The top team in America East continued its red-hot run and clinched a postseason berth, while the Northeast Conference got a bit of a shake-up after two of the four New England teams swept three-game series and the other two won theirs.
The Ivy League’s championship race rounded third with key wins for multiple clubs, while the likes of Northeastern, UMass Lowell and Rhode Island also took key games.
