The Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game is back for the first time since 2019. The pandemic forced the cancellation of the entire Cape League season in 2020, and the All-Star Game was scrapped last year as part of an abbreviated schedule.
This year's game will include a fairly large contingent of players with New England ties, either as native New Englanders or players who attend New England colleges.
The game will be played on Saturday, July 23 (6:05 p.m.) at Spillane Field in Wareham. For fans planning to attend the game, gates will open at 2 p.m., with activities like player autograph sessions (2:30 to 4:05 p.m.) and a Home Run Derby (5 p.m.) on the schedule.
Here's a look at the nine players with New England ties who earned Cape League All-Star selections.
