For prep and high school players across New England, one of their primary goals is to play at the next level. And every year, hundreds of New Englanders make the jump to college programs throughout the region and around the country.

As dozens upon dozens of local players make their college commitments, New England Baseball Journal is committed to keeping track of all college-bound players in the Class of 2020.

We currently have a list of 141 players committed to college (see below). Our current list includes six players each who have committed to the University of Maine, UMass Lowell, Division 1 newcomer Merrimack and Division 3 Trinity College. Our current list also includes two players — left-handed pitcher Hunter Owen of South Portland (Maine) High and right-handed pitcher Calvin Hewett (Greeland, N.H.) of Portsmouth High — who have committed to reigning NCAA Division 1 champion Vanderbilt.

We'll continue to add to our list throughout the year, and we welcome all submissions from coaches, parents and players themselves. Please email any additions (or corrections) to editor@baseballjournal.com, and be sure to include first and last names, hometown, current school, position and college commitment.
