While the pandemic has certainly changed the landscape of college recruiting, many NCAA coaches continue to secure the services of the region’s best players through verbal commitments. The latest round of commitments came in on or shortly after Sept. 1, as many New England players firmed up their college plans.

With so many top ballplayers from New England advancing to the college ranks, New England Baseball Journal is committed to keeping track of all college-bound players. We are currently tracking commitments for players in the graduating classes of 2021, 2022 and 2023. Earlier this week, we accounted for 132 commitments for players in the Class of 2021.

We currently have a list of 40 players from the Class of 2022 committed to college (see below). The region’s Division 1 powers lead the way, including five players each from Boston College and UConn and four from Northeastern.

We’ll continue to add to our list throughout the year. We welcome all submissions from coaches, parents and players themselves. Please email any additions (or corrections) to editor@baseballjournal.com, and be sure to include first and last names, hometown, current school, graduation year, position and college commitment.
