
August 1 is a significant date on the NCAA Division 1 baseball recruiting calendar because it’s when college coaches can start initiating recruiting discussions with incoming high school juniors.
Prior to August 1, the NCAA prohibited communication between D1 coaches, potential recruits, and anyone speaking on behalf of the athlete.
