The No. 1-ranked team in New England Baseball Journal's end-of-season power rankings has come out of the Central New England Prep School Baseball League in six of the past seven seasons.
Phillips Andover held that distinction from 2018 to 2022, before CNEPSBL-foe Worcester Academy earned the top spot in 2023. Avon Old Farms, out of the Founders League, was New England's top team in 2024, although Deerfield Academy was a close second.
Because the CNEPSBL allows postgraduate transfers -- unlike leagues like the ISL -- the level of play is considered on par or better than any conference in New England.
