The college commitment frenzy is about to slow down considerably as we move into a four-week NCAA Quiet Period for D1 recruiting.
A "quiet" period is a time when coaches are restricted from scouting off-campus. College coaches can still bring recruits onto campus for visits, talk to them and make offers, but they cannot attend games, tournaments or practices. If a D1 prospect is hoping to receive an offer in the second half of August, he will likely need to schedule a campus visit.
As a result, this roundup of recent commitments includes far more D2 and D3 commits than our most recent roundup in late July, which consisted of mostly D1 commitments.
Here's a look at 25 players who committed to college programs in the last three weeks.
