D1 college coaches appear to have started to turn their recruiting attention to the Class of 2025 now that the fall baseball season has started on campuses throughout the Northeast.
In the past week, six New England prospects in the Class of 2025 committed to D1 programs. Still, recruiting season for players in the Class of 2024 is far from over, even for D1 prospects. A total of 11 players in the Class of 2024 committed to college programs in the last week, including two at the D1 level.
The D1 programs that secured commitments from players in the Class of 2025 included Penn State, Notre Dame, UConn, George Washington, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. The D1 commitments for Class of '24 prospects included Merrimack College and UMass Lowell.
