The recruiting cycle has slowed considerably in November, as we've entered a quiet period in which D1 college coaches are forbidden from recruiting players off of the school's campus.
That makes sense, as very few college prospects are playing baseball in the month of November, so phone calls, emails and on-campus visits make more sense than scouting visits. The quiet period is intended to protect players from extending their respective seasons deep into the winter to offer college coaches scouting opportunities.
Over the last three weeks, a total of 20 players from New England have committed to college programs. That includes 11 players in the Class of 2023, seven in the Class of 2024, and two in the Class of 2025.
