The fall season has taken on varying structures for Division 1 college programs around New England.
For Ivy League schools that did not have a season in 2021, the return to on-campus workouts and intersquad scrimmages has been cause for celebration. Other schools like UConn, Boston College and UMass Lowell have scheduled competitive games against other programs.
The fall often gives coaches a chance to evaluate their respective rosters and get a sense of which players will be key contributors in the spring. With the rise in transfers across college baseball, it's certainly an important time of year for team-building.
