The start of a new college baseball season has arrived.
Ten of our region’s 19 Division 1 programs are set to begin play this weekend, with the rest following over the next week or two. On Opening Day, hope springs eternal. Talk becomes reality, lineups are written in pen not pencil, and questions start to be answered.
But, answers take time. Opening Day is just a new beginning. There is plenty to learn about our top teams and players in 2022, especially after the past two seasons were so impacted by the pandemic.
