With just two weekends remaining in the Division 1 baseball regular season, the number of games is beginning to wane as postseason races heat up and positions start to be solidified.
This is also a great time to start kicking around players who could be up for postseason awards, which are typically given out before or after each conference begins its respective tournament.
As the “second season” approaches, we look to identify a player from each New England program who has stood out with his regular-season performance.
Here is one ‘Player of the Year’ candidate from each of New England’s 20 Division 1 programs who we would put in the running for conference honors, whether it be as a top player, rookie or all-conference performer.
