We’re off and running!
The Division 1 college baseball season got underway on Friday and the action continued throughout the weekend. Ten of the New England region’s 19 clubs got back on the field for the first time since last May or June, seeing action in six different states up and down the coast.
Bryant made a sweeping statement against a ranked foe, but the nine-time Northeast Conference regular-season champion was far from the only local club to make noise. Two other teams, UConn and Northeastern, earned wins against power conference teams to begin writing their resumes following conference championship seasons.
