Conference tournament time has arrived in the world of college baseball.
Several New England teams find themselves in prime positions entering “May Madness” after clinching the top seeds in their respective conferences or divisions. Tournaments are set to begin later this week for most of the region’s qualifying teams, with the Northeast Conference hosting theirs -- featuring three New England squads -- on regional turf in Norwich, Conn.
One team, however, continued a dream season in an earlier start to postseason play as Fairfield will host the MAAC Championship for the first time ever after a quarterfinal series sweep.
