The opening weekend of the Division 1 college baseball season has come and gone, and there was no shortage of action for teams throughout New England.
Bryant’s sweep of East Carolina was one of the top season-opening stories, lifting the Bulldogs into the national conversation and among New England’s upper echelon. Two packs of Huskies both played some strong baseball to remain towards the top of the regional picture.
Three of the New England Baseball Journal Top 10 clubs have yet to take the field. Two from the Ivy League will do so this weekend, marking a return to action after nearly two years of waiting.
