There is plenty of important baseball to be played around New England on this penultimate weekend of April.

Maintaining a place in the playoff race will be crucial as, among other series, Maine hosts UMass Lowell in an America East showdown, Yale heads to Ivy League rival Columbia, and Massachusetts treks west to A-10 foe Dayton.

This weekend will also feature the return of a special game in honor of a special person at America’s Most Beloved Ballpark.

Get ready for the weekend ahead with this edition of New England Baseball Journal’s Division 1 Primer.
